Another keen CLEFT supporter from Essex is 11-year old Holly Harris from Chelmsford. Holly was born with a cleft lip and she and her friends decided to raise money by holding a fete in the park opposite her home. This is how it went
On Friday 17th August my friends, family, and I started work on the event at 9.30am by setting up the numerous stalls and games. We had a lucky dip, hook a duck, a raffle, and a book/toy stall to name a few. Luckily the sun was shining so many people were out for walks and took an interest in our event. They got involved by buying a cake or two. Some of my friends came and spent their pocket money to help with this worthy cause. The Essex Chronicle came along and we were featured in the paper a few weeks ago.
Our fundraising event was a fun and successful day and we raised approximately £300!
