After a recent wardrobe clear-out, Gwyneth put her unwanted clothes on Ebay with a little help from her daughter, Alice, and had huge success selling everything! The sales amounted to a very impressive £433 which Gwyneth has very generously donated to CLEFT. With Gift Aid claimed, this online version of taking clothes to the charity shop generated a wonderful £541.25. We would like to say a big thank you to Gwyneth and Alice for their fantastic efforts.

If you would like to follow in Gwyneth’s footsteps, you can do so in the following ways:
  1. Sell unwanted clothes/ household items on Ebay - you can choose what percentage of the sale you would like to come to CLEFT. All you have to do is tick the ‘Donate’ box and the % as you set your item up for sale. Type in ‘CLEFT’ in the charity box to find the CLEFT account. Alternatively, you can just choose to receive the full amount from Ebay and donate whatever percentage of the sale you would like to give!
  2. Sell unwanted clothes through Thrift+ - a donation service for second-hand clothes. All you have to do is pack up your unwanted clothes into a 'ThriftBag' which you can have posted to you by going to the Thrift+ website. Send your filled bag to Thrift+ to be photographed and sold online. Each time an item sells for more than £5, the proceeds are split three ways:
    • 33% to Thrift+ (minimum fee of £5)
    • 33% to the donor as Thrift+ credits
    • 33% to their chosen charity

Alternatively, you can choose to donate 66% to CLEFT instead of earning any Thrift+ credits.
