About us CLEFT News Become a Trustee and Help Shape the Future of CLEFT At CLEFT, our Trustees play an essential role in overseeing the charity’s governance, ensuring financial stability, and helping shape the strategic direction of our organisation. We recently filled two of the three trustee positions we were recruiting for, but we’re still looking for someone with fundraising expertise to join our Board. As a Trustee, you will work alongside our dedicated Board members to ensure we meet our objectives, safeguard our assets, and deliver on our vision of improving cleft care worldwide. Key responsibilities of all Trustees include: Ensuring CLEFT pursues its goals and uses its resources effectively. Safeguarding the charity’s assets and financial stability. Providing strategic leadership and setting targets. Could This Be You? We're currently looking for two new people to join our warm and dedicated Board of Trustees. We're especially keen to hear from:⭐ Anyone with event planning experience (though this isn’t essential)⭐ People with lived experience of cleft lip and/or palate⭐ Individuals with a background in fundraising, who can help us grow and sustain our impact You don’t need to come from a clinical background – in fact, we welcome fresh perspectives! If you’re enthusiastic, empathetic, and ready to contribute your skills to a cause that changes lives, we’d love to hear from you. Additional Details Our Board meets six times a year (primarily on Zoom), with an annual in-person away day in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a real impact and help CLEFT grow.
