Hello, my name is Shonnelly and I’m a core surgical trainee who is interested in paediatric plastics.

I studied medicine at Imperial College London graduating with a MBBS and BSc in Haematology. I then undertook foundation training in the Mid South Essex trust, where I sat and passed membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons.

At the moment, I live in Chelmsford with my partner and working spaniel Dora. In my spare time, I like going to the gym, campaigning for mistreated doctors with the DAUK and watching ice hockey. I have a passion for teaching and am a part time lecturer and anatomy demonstrator at ARU.

Will and I set up the CLEFT Trainees Section in 2021 and it has been an incredibly journey since. My favourite thing about CLEFT is it’s core principle of sustainable care that underpins and defines the charity. It has also been incredible to meet all the wonderful trustees and wider community over the years.
