I’m excited to be running the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for CLEFT, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals born with cleft lip +/- palate.

CLEFT is a unique organisation focused on long-term, sustainable care. Rather than short-term interventions, the charity supports and trains local healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines, including surgery, speech and language therapy, dentistry, and psychology. This helps ensure patients receive comprehensive, lifelong care within their own communities.

Their work has already made a meaningful impact in countries such as Nepal, helping to build strong, self-sustaining cleft services. Having previously run the Berlin Marathon in support of CLEFT, I’m proud to continue contributing to this cause.

Any support will help ensure individuals born with cleft lip +/- palate can access the care they need. Joshua Kennedy
