Our ethos is to support international centres until they are able to provide long-term, sustainable cleft care but it takes time, support and ongoing financial support in the short-term. We need to pay for basic medical supplies, such as sutures, so that patients can access the treatment they need completely free of charge. Support is also needed to pay for the salaries of some key team members. Although the aim is for salaries to be paid by the government, until this can happen, CLEFT will pay for them so that the team can continue to offer comprehensive cleft care.

We are looking to raise £28,000 which is twelve months of these essential running costs. Thanks to a generous donation we received for our running costs in 2024, 100% of your donation made to this appeal will go towards the project.

We are very fortunate that the annual educational and training trips cost us very little, mostly thanks to the generosity of the Emirates Airline Foundation who have donated many flights for visiting team members. We are proud to partner with the team in Bangladesh - you can read more about some of the patients that have been treated by them by clicking here.
