I’m fundraising to support CLEFT, a charity close to my heart, helping children born with cleft lip and palate access life-changing surgery and care. Inspired by my mum’s experience, I want to raise awareness and give back so more families receive the support they need.
This October, I’m taking on my first ever half marathon to raise money for CLEFT. Running 13.1 miles is not something I would normally do, but after working with CLEFT over the past three years and seeing the impact of their work, I wanted to push myself to take on this challenge for a cause I really believe in.
This October, I'm taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon: 13.1 miles through four of London's most beautiful parks to raise money for CLEFT. I am raising money to provide long-term, sustainable ways to improve cleft care both in the UK and overseas.
Each card is lovingly hand-painted and made with care, with the aim of raising money for a cause very close to Aimee's heart. Every donation supports the Cleft Charity’s Welsh–Tanzanian partnership project, helping to improve care and outcomes for children and families affected by cleft lip and palate in both Wales and Tanzania.

A slightly silly challenge for an important cause: supporting children with cleft conditions with CLEFT.
My son Elvin was born with a cleft lip in 2024. But thanks to the NHS, we got world class care and the result was unrecognisable. Sometimes we remember the fact that he used to have a cleft and we miss his huge carefree cleft smile. But unfortunately not every child has access to the same professional support. It is Elvin's 2nd birthday this week, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to run 10k fundraising for CLEFT - to help other children across the world, bridging the gap.
We are raising money with the LF1 division of the Cleft Charity at Charles University, Prague, to support sustainable, long-term improvements in cleft care. Through fundraising and awareness initiatives at LF1, we aim to contribute to the main UK Cleft Charity’s mission of improving access to cleft treatment, multidisciplinary care, and support services for patients and families both in the UK and internationally.
I am raising money and awareness for CLEFT to help promote the wonderful sustainable cleft work they are helping with around the world.

We are fundraising to support children born with cleft lip and palate, helping provide life-changing surgery and care. These conditions can affect feeding, speech, hearing, and confidence, but with timely treatment, children can go on to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
