Membership

Members will be appointed to carry out fundraising activities.

They will be appointed for 2 years in the first instance subject to renewal.

It is intended that membership will reflect the different areas of fundraising including but not limited to: events, corporates and major donors.

The Chair will be a trustee and appointed for 2 years.

Appointment of new members will be made by the Board of Trustees on the recommendations of the Fundraising Committee members.

Members should attend at least 3 of the 6 meetings through the year unless there are special circumstances.

Role and responsibilities of members

By joining the Fundraising Committee, members agree to adhere to the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Practice for maintaining the standards that are expected of them when speaking to donors and whilst carrying out general fundraising activities.

The Chair will report back to trustees at trustee meetings on progress and will annually update on financial totals.

Members should be able to choose what area of fundraising they would like to get involved with but should communicate their preference to the Fundraising Committee Chair so that gaps can be identified.
