Last October, we launched an appeal to raise £1500 to repair the anaesthetic machine that was broken. We didn't quite reach our target but thanks to a few generous donors, we were still able to pay the repair costs and the team is able to operate again. This is a really important piece of equipment and the photo above shows it being used. It is really great news and we are very grateful indeed for the support we received.

At the end of 2019, we launched a different appeal - to raise money to buy toys for the cleft ward. We raised just over £1600 but because of Covid, we were not able to get things moving for quite a while. Finally, we managed to send a consignment of bears (left), as well as some toys for Speech and Language Therapy. It took a long time and a lot of paperwork to clear customs but at last they have been delivered and unpacked! The toys will be given to children who stay on the ward and the speech therapy toys will be put to good use by Lia, the speech therapist, as she works with the children there.

Finally, we sent some PPE equipment which has been distributed amongst doctors, orthodontics, coordinator, speech and language therapists and audiologist who are involved with cleft care - see below.

These are just a few examples of the ways your money can help where it is needed the most. If you would like to donate, we are always grateful for your support.
