A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
In our case, our ten thousand journey started a few weeks ago and by Friday 19th June, Team CLEFT had cycled, run and walked the equivalent distance of Central London to Vienna - that's 1,500km. The challenge has motivated one Trustee, Kaye, to increase how often she runs each week from 2 to a regular 4. We're all doing our part though, recording walks long and short because every steps counts and takes us closer to our destination: the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Consultant Plastic surgeon and Trustee, Paul Morris, has also been clocking up some impressive distances on his bike (photographed above) with brother Phillip and daughter Harriet). The photo was taken at the start of Saturday's ride which ended up being an amazing 67km around the Cambridgeshire countryside. Well done Paul & family!
