Taking money at your event

To make managing funds at your event easier and avoid handling cash, consider setting up a fundraising page on the CLEFT website. Once your page is live, you can easily share it by generating a QR code for attendees to scan on the day or by posting it directly on your social media.

Set up a fundraising page

You're welcome to create either an individual or group fundraising page - just be sure to personalise it with a great photo and a message that explains your event and why you're supporting CLEFT.

For cash-based events, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Clearly inform donors that you’re fundraising for CLEFT and that 100% of their contributions will go directly to the charity.
  • Keep a record of the amount raised and, if possible, have a friend witness the counting process.
  • Transfer the cash to CLEFT within 24 hours via bank transfer, using your event code as the reference.

Please note that Gift Aid can only be claimed on donations from UK taxpayers, not on purchases (such as tickets or goods).

For bank transfers:

Account name: CLEFT

Account number: 93597253

Sort code: 20-41-12

Merchandise

We’re happy to provide materials to support your event. Just let us know what you need when you register the event, and we can send CLEFT-branded t-shirts (S/M/L/XL), pens, leaflets, or trolley coins. For additional items like banners, posters, or lanyards, we will consider requests on a case-by-case basis. We can also provide CLEFT Student outreach slides for use in presentations at conferences and workshops.

We also encourage you to share your event on social media. Don’t forget to tag us, and we’ll share your post on CLEFT’s main pages, where appropriate.
